Bloomberg: Gemcorp Plans Expansion of Moscow Office, Chief Executive Says


Gemcorp Capital LLP is looking to expand the size of its Moscow office as the economy recovers, Atanas Bostandjiev, chief executive officer of the two-year-old investment management firm for bonds, equity and financing of companies, says in interview.

– Plans to hire as many as five Russian nationals to join its
global team of more than 40 this year; office opened in 2016
– “The economy has turned and adjustment has happened and a
lot of investors who had distanced themselves are back”:

– Gemcorp wants to provide financing to mid-size businesses in
the oil and gas, real estate and consumer markets in Russia
and expects its first deal in a couple of months
– Gemcorp in talks to increase capital to as much as $1
billion
